District Prosecution Office in Prishtina has filed indictment against Shaqir Jakupi, former accountant in NGO “Handikos”; for criminal offense misappropriation in office
Prishtina 27April 2012 / District Prosecution Office in Prishtina today has filed indictment against the defendant Shaqir Jakupi, former accountant in NGO “Handikos”, for criminal offense misappropriation in office, which is covered by article 340 paragraph 3 related to paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Kosovo.
According to the indictment the defendant Jakupi in the period of time from 6th of January 2011until 6th of January 2012 has appropriated in illegal manner the amount from 78.452,30€. This criminal offense the defendant has committed through withdrawing money from bank accounts of the NGO, using false checks and electronic withdrawals.
District Prosecution Office in Prishtina has requested from Court to claim the defendant guilty as charged for the criminal offense and also to oblige him to compensate the caused damage.
