The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council hosted the representatives of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania

Prishtinë, 10 October 2023 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Jetish Maloku, accompanied by the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Blerim Isufaj and members of the KPC, Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj and Mr. Armend Zenelaj, received today in a meeting the head of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania (SPAK), Mr. Altin Dumani.

The purpose of today's visit is to establish bridges to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the framework of the rule of law and the joint fight against organized crime and to discuss the development of joint activities between the relevant institutions of both countries.

The chairman of the KPC, Mr. Jetish Maloku, thanked the head of SPAK, Mr. Dumani, for the visit to the institutions of the prosecution system, appreciating the importance of such meetings and the exchange of experiences, in which case he emphasized that today's meeting is an important moment in direction of advancing the partnership and implementing the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania.

The interlocutors, Mr. Maloku and Mr. Dumani expressed their dedication and commitment to the further intensification of cooperation, which will inevitably affect the success of the comprehensive fight against all types of crime.

Consequently, at the end of this meeting, both parties emphasized the role, help and unreserved support of international partners of Kosovo and Albania in the framework of strengthening law enforcement in both countries, as well as the integration processes that are related to the implementation of practices and EU standards in the field of justice.
