The workshop is held for the presentation of the draft Regulation for the internal organization and functioning of the State Prosecutor

Prishtinë, 4 October 2023 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council  (KPC), with the support of the EU Program for the Justice Sector in Kosovo, EUKOJUST, has organized a three-day workshop for the presentation of the draft Regulation on the internal organization and functioning of the State Prosecutor.

The Chairman of the KPC, Mr. Jetish Maloku, members of the commissions, chief prosecutors of the prosecution offices, prosecutors of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, representatives of the American Embassy, the EU Office in Pristina and the EUKOJUST Project are participating in this workshop. , members of the group for drafting this draft and administrative leader of the prosecutorial system of Kosovo.

Initially, in the first session, Chairman Maloku emphasized the special importance of this by-law for the State Prosecutor, highlighting the unsparing support of international partners, who with their expertise are helping the empowerment in many segments and the advancement of the prosecutorial system.

Also following, according to the aforementioned agenda, the structure, duties and responsibilities of the State Prosecutor were discussed, while at the end of today's session, it was said that this draft will be dealt with, examined and analyzed extensively during the extended discussions of the participants in the next sessions, especially for the adequate ways and forms of organizing the work, organizing the administration and creating the necessary conditions for the work of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor (OCSP), the Appellate Prosecutor's Office (AP), the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) and the basic prosecutions of the country.
