The coordination meeting for criminal offenses against sexual integrity was held
Ferizaj, January 11, 2023 - The Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, Mr. Shukri Jashari, held a meeting at the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, with representatives from the Kosovo Police, the Center for Social Work, the Office for Victims Assistance and Advocacy, as well as the prosecutor Ms. .Sebahate Sinani, from the Serious Crimes Department of this prosecution.
During this meeting, inter-institutional cooperation and the responsibilities of competent institutions for handling cases related to criminal offenses against sexual integrity were discussed.
Also, in this meeting, present participants expressed their concerns at the increase in the number of these cases and discussed the challenges that are presented on a daily basis during the handling of cases of this nature and how to act and harmonize inter-institutional actions as much as possible in the handling and resolution of cases of this nature.
Also, in this meeting, recommendations were given to hold regular meetings of this nature in schools, where representatives from these institutions are present, and it was agreed that the cooperation between them should continue by holding these regular meetings with purpose of fair and efficient handling of these cases.
