Detention on remand is required for the criminal offense of “Abuse or abandonment of a child”
Ferizaj, April 11, 2021 - The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, General Department, has submitted a request for detention on remand with the Basic Court in Ferizaj, against the defendant V.K., from Ferizaj, who has been in detention since April 10, 2021, due to a well-founded suspicion that she committed the criminal offense of “Abuse or abandonment of a child” under Article 243 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK).
At the request of the Prosecution, there is a grounded suspicion that on April 10, 2021, in her apartment, the defendant V.K., as a parent, abused her children, using force and causing them physical and mental injuries, in which case she committed the criminal offense of “Abuse or abandonment of a child” under Article 243 paragraph 1 of the CCRK.
