A person is detained for production and distribution of tainted medical products
Gjilan, April 15, 2020 - The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, General Department, informs the public that today, on April 15, 2020, the suspect K.A. was detained for 48 hours, with the suspicion of having committed the criminal offense “Production and distribution of tainted medical products”, under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The suspect K.A., through the social network “Facebook” has presented a drug, emphasizing that with the same product Coronavirus is cured, which has also introduced the sample of the drug, in which case the same has been confiscated and will be sent for analysis at the Kosovo Agricultural Institute.
Also, the suspect K.A., on April 6, 2020, on his profile on the social network “Facebook”, published information with the caption “Hello, is there a volunteer infected with corona virus who will use the drug that I do on a plant basis. Drug effect: broad specter against viruses, effect against virus replication within the cell, stimulates the immune system to fight infection. The drug is used only for a week, there are no side effects (not known, the drug is free limited amount). Immunity is formed within 10 days.”
During the raid, the police and pharmaceutical inspectors found 45 liters of 95% ethyl alcohol without origin, in which case the same was seized and handed over to the Kosovo Customs.
