The Chief State Prosecutor hosted the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative Project Manager
Prishtina, January 20, 2020 - The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, hosted the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative Project Manager, Desislava Gotskova, at an introductory meeting.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss strengthening the capacity of prosecutors to effectively implement assets recovery in line with European practices through enhanced confiscation, fostering regional and international cooperation, and promoting successful practices in the region under the project “Strengthening Anti-Corruption in South East Europe through Improving Asset Seizure Measures”
The Chief State Prosecutor Lumezi and Project Manager Gotskova have appreciated the fact that regional co-operation, the application of international instruments in providing the framework for drafting domestic law and the effective implementation of existing legislation are essential to the success of anti-corruption measures, combating all forms of crime and increasing trust in the institutions of justice.
