The 247th Meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council is held

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), led by Chairman Ardian Hajdaraj, held the 247th Meeting in a row, in which it discussed and approved the items according to the agenda. All the decisions that were taken at today's meeting are as follows, in which case the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council:

  • Set the salary of the non-prosecution members of the Prosecutorial Council, this salary, which will be equivalent to the salary of the prosecutor in the Department for Serious Crimes in the country's prosecutions.
  • Approved the Report of the Commission for Labor Market Conditions on the deficit cadre, along with the recommendation of the KPC members.
  • Approved the Regulation on the Mandate, Structure, Operation and Organization of the Office for Protection and Assistance to Victims, which will enter into force from today.
  • Approved the Integrity Plan in the prosecutorial system.
  • Approved the State Prosecutor's Work Report for 2023, together with two recommendations of this commission.
  • Approved the Summary Report of the Commission for the Evaluation of the Performance of Prosecutors for the evaluation of prosecutors by superiors for the year 2023, together with recommendations of the KPC members.
  • It rejected the three (3) objections presented by the candidates to the Report on the process of the advancement of prosecutors in the Special Prosecution and promoted nine (9) prosecutors to the Special Prosecution, as follows: Mr. Naim Gashi, Mrs. Arbëresha Raça-Shala, Mrs. Shenaj Berisha, Mr. Shahadin Destani, Mr. Halim Borovci, Mr. Kastriot Memaj, Mr. Fatos Ajvazi, Mr. Bekim Kodraliu and Mrs. Ajshe Ferati, who will start work from June 1, 2024.
  • Appointed the members of the Commission for the Transfer and Advancement of State Prosecutors, as follows: Mr. Besim Kelmendi, Mrs. Jehona Grantolli and Mr. Arian Gashi.
  • Approved the announcement of the Competition for the advancement of one (1) prosecutor in the Department for Minors in the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj and for the advancement of one (1) prosecutor in the Department for Serious Crimes in the Basic Prosecution in Appointed the prosecutor in the Appellate Prosecution, Mrs. Ikramije Bojaxhiu, as a member of the Governing Council at the Academy of Law, with a four-year term.
  • Rejected the objection submitted and approved the final report on the irregular performance evaluation of one (1) prosecutor of the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina, in which case he decided to send the proposal for his dismissal to the President of the country.
  • Announced the implementation of the Joint Declaration of Commitment.
  • Appointed the prosecutor in the Special Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Ilir Morina, to the Working Group for the drafting and finalization of the Draft Regulation on the procedures for Discontinuing the Search for Missing Persons.
  • Authorized the Chairman of the KPC, Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, the Kosovo Police and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, represented by the British Embassy in Kosovo, which will enable the creation of joint multidisciplinary investigation groups of complex crimes under the competence of SPRK.
  • Authorized the KPC Secretariat for securing the plot for the construction of the Basic Prosecution facility in Mitrovica.
  • Handled the resignation of the new member of KPC, Mr. Visar Krasniqi, from the position of Coordinator in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
