A person suspected of war crimes against the civilian population is arrested
Prishtinë, April 27, 2024 - The Special Prosecution (SP) and the Kosovo Police inform the public that, today, at the border point of the Republic of Kosovo with Serbia, specifically in Bërnjak, a person with the initials J.Š., suspected that during the years 1998 - 1999, in the Municipality of Gjakova, he committed the criminal offense "War crimes against the civilian population".
With the decision of the Special Prosecution, he was detained for 48 hours, and within the legal time limits, this prosecution will make request for the determination of detention on remand under the suspicion of having committed the criminal offense "War crimes against the civilian population".
