CHIEF PROSECUTOR BLERIM ISUFAJ HOSTS THE EU AMBASSADOR IN KOSOVO TOMAS SZUNYOG
Prishtinë, 17 April 2024 – The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, Blerim Isufaj, today hosted the Ambassador of the European Union in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, who is also the head of the EU Office.
Chief Prosecutor Isufaj thanked Ambassador Szunyog for the visit, as well as expressed his gratitude for maintaining the continuity of the cooperation of the EU Office with the prosecution that he leads, this cooperation, which is in function of strengthening the implementation of the law in Kosovo.
On this occasion, Chief Prosecutor Isufaj informed Ambassador Szunyog about the work, achievements and challenges of the Special Prosecution, in the fight against high-level corruption, organized crime, terrorism, war crimes, and other crimes that are in competence of this prosecution, as well as for the activities developed and the coordination planned during this year, confirming the increased commitment to achieving results in the investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses.
On the other hand, the head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, thanked Chief Prosecutor Isufaj for hosting, underlining that their common goal is to achieve further progress in the field of the rule of law in Kosovo.
At the end of today's meeting, the interlocutors expressed their readiness, that through working in partnership, to strengthen the rule of law, to continue safely, towards the advancement of our country on the path of European integration.
