Indictment against 6 persons for robbery, possession of weapons without permission, sale and purchase of weapons and use of weapons or dangerous tools
Gjilan, 14 March 2024 – The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Gjilan, Department for Serious Crimes, has filed an indictment against the defendants D.G., M.L., K.Xh., A.B., V.S. and N.M., due to the criminal offenses of "Robbery", "Use of a dangerous weapon or tool", "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons" and "Import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, brokering or unauthorized sale of weapons or explosives'', of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK).
According to the indictment, on November 18, 2021, on the regional road Gjilan-Prishtina, in the village of Parallovo, municipality of Novobërda, the defendants D.G., M.L., K.Xh., A.B., V.S. and N.M., in cooperation, intentionally and with the purpose of illegal financial gain for themselves, have robbed the amount of money of €996,271.24 and 46,780.00 American dollars (USD) to the detriment of the injured Bank Pro Credit, headquartered in Pristina and the company "Besa Security", based in Pristina, in such a way that the defendant D.G. secured and put into circulation the "Volvo" type vehicle, while the defendant M.L., as a manager in the company "Besa Security", has prepared the special vehicle for transporting cash, so that the same, without the knowledge of the owner of the company, sent this vehicle to the auto service whose owner is the defendant K.Xh, where together with the defendant K.Xh., they put the electronic device to deactivate the engine remotely through remote control and on the critical day of the defendant A.B., V.S. and N.M., they hide the "Volvo" vehicle in the village of Parallovo, while with the "Zafira" vehicle, they followed the "Fiat" vehicle, which had collected the money from the bank machines to send it to the Pro Credit Central Bank in Pristina, where, upon reaching the village of Parallovë, they stopped him by remote control and the same masked and armed with long guns, first shot with guns, then took the driver and three other workers out, took 10 bags full of money from the vehicle, they put them in their vehicle and go to the place where they left the "Volvo" vehicle, while they burn the "Zafira" vehicle.
With these actions, the same in cooperation have committed the criminal offense "Robbery" from Article 317 paragraph 3 and Article 31 of the KPRK.
Defendants V.S., A.B. and N.M., are also accused of the criminal offense of "Using a dangerous weapon or tool", from article 367 paragraph 2 related to paragraph 1 of the CCRK.
Also, the defendant A.B. is accused of the criminal offense of "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons" from article 366 paragraph 1 of the CCRK, while the defendant V.S. also for the criminal offense "Unauthorized import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, brokering or sale of weapons or explosive materials", from article 364 paragraph 2 related to paragraph 1 and article 77 of the CCRK.
