The next meeting of the Commission for Normative Issues is held
Prishtinë, 10 July 2023 – Commission for Normative Issues of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), led by Mr. Armend Zenelaj, held the next meeting, which was attended by members of the KPC, the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, the Deputy Chairman of the KPC, Mr. Veton Shabani, the representative of the US Embassy and civil society.
The purpose of this meeting was to review the comments regarding the draft Regulation on Allowances and Compensation for State Prosecutors and Employees of the Prosecutorial System, which was drafted after the adoption of the Law on Salaries in the Public Sector, this law, which provided the right to determine the method and procedure of compensation and allowances for state prosecutors and the administrative staff of the prosecutorial system of Kosovo.
After the presentation to the participants of this draft article by article by the Commission for Normative Issues, the comments of representatives of civil society, specifically of the Kosovo Institute of Law and other experts, received during the public hearing and a part of them that have had relevance have been incorporated into the general text.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that after the re-examination of this draft regulation at the next meeting of the Commission, it will be processed for approval at one of the next meetings of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.
