The Special Prosecution Office targeted a new case involving four people
Prishtinë, 24 march 2023 – The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Blerim Isufaj, held today the meeting with the joint team for the selection and targeting of serious crimes, they targeted a (1) new case coded "Frangu” involving four (4) people.
The Special Prosecutor's Office announces that the case is targeted for the criminal offenses of "Money Laundering", "Usury", "Coercion" and "Obstruction of the deprived or official procedure".
Meanwhile, concerning the financial investigations, the case was investigated parallel and on the day of the operation it was possible to freeze the bank accounts of the suspects and close family members.
Frozen from their current and fixed-term accounts, a total of:
- 2,131,223.31 EUR and
- CHF 878,632.47
However, in the continuation of the investigations, properties and immovable properties have been identified, of which sixteen (16) parcels have been frozen by order of the Court. Four (4) people are currently involved in this case, three (3) of them are in custody.
