INDICTMENT AGAINST SIX PEOPLE FOR CULTIVATION OF OPIUM POPPY, COCA BUSH OR CANNABIS PLANTS
Prishtinë, 8 March 2023 – The Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) has filed an indictment in the Basic Court in Prishtinë - Special Department, against six (6) defendants with the initials D.Gj, D.T, N.N, LJ.M, K.Gj and B.Gj .
The Special Prosecution Office announces that the defendants D.Gj, D.T, N.N, LJ.M, K.Gj and B.Gj., during July 2022, in the village of Kovaq, Municipality of Zubin Potok, in collaboration, were engaged in the cultivation of narcotic plants , in an improvised laboratory inside the house of one of the defendants, where after intensive investigation by the Kosovo police in cooperation with the State Prosecution Office, it was possible to discover the perpetrators of the aforementioned criminal offense, arrest the defendants, confiscate the narcotic quantity, tools for its cultivation, as well as auxiliary equipment.
With these actions, the defendants D.Gj, D.T, N.N, LJ.M, K.Gj and B.Gj., acting as a group, have committed the criminal offense "Cultivation of Opium Poppy, cocaine bush or cannabis plants", from article 272 paragraph 1 of the CCRK related to article 275 par. 1 subpar. 1.1 of the CCRK.
