The KPC condemns the threatening language of Minister Haxhiu, used today against Prosecutor Beqiri
Prishtinë, 10 February 2023 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) condemns the threatening language of the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, towards the prosecutor of the Basic Prosecutor's Office of Pristina, Iliaz Beqiri, used in today's court session against her, in which she is accused of throwing tear gas in the Assembly of Kosovo.
The KPC called on Minister Haxhiu once again to refrain from constant threatening statements towards the prosecutorial system of Kosovo in general and towards the work of prosecutors in particular, because the language used is an attempt to interfere in the independent work of the State Prosecutor.
On the other hand, the KPC will continue to strongly support and protect with all available legal means the professional work of all prosecutors of the Republic of Kosovo.
