THE MEETING IS HELD BETWEEN THE COORDINATORS FOR THE TREATMENT OF CRIMINAL CASES AGAINST SEXUAL INTEGRITY
Prishtina, November 18, 2022 - The coordinator for criminal offenses against sexual integrity from the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Bahri Hyseni, held a meeting today with the coordinators of the Basic Prosecutions, where he asked them to organize meetings with stakeholders from other institutions such as the Police of Kosovo, the Center for Social Work and Victim Advocates, with the aim of coordinating actions in cases of criminal offenses related to sexual integrity, especially the actions that must be taken during on call duty and other matters of interest to the protection of victims and clarification of cases.
In addition, during this meeting, the coordinators agreed that, in such cases, the Director of the Forensic Agency should be contacted, in order to deal with cases with priority, when expertise is requested from prosecutors for cases of criminal offenses related to sexual integrity, especially when the victims are minors.
