The leaders of the institutions of the judicial and prosecutorial system meet
Prishtinë, 9 November 2022 - The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, received today in a joint meeting the head of the Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, and the head of the Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj.
In this meeting, the progress of the work process in the prosecutorial and judicial systems was discussed, after the situation created in the Prosecution Office and the Basic Court in Mitrovica.
In today's meeting, the three institutional heads expressed their commitment to work together to overcome the situation created after the resignation of judges, prosecutors and administrative employees from the work process, and discussed the modalities of organizing and running the work as efficiently as possible for citizens of this region.
They agreed to take as soon as possible all the necessary measures for the organization of the work process in accordance with the legal acts in force, in order for the justice institutions to function and not to create a void of services in the current circumstances.
