The 218th meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council is held

Prishtinë, 29 July 2022 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK), led by Jetish Maloku, in its 218th meeting, selected ten prosecutors to serve on investigative panels with a three-year mandate and approved the request of the Acting Chief State Prosecutor to approve the announcement of the competition for the advancement of a prosecutor in the Juvenile Department in the Basic Prosecution of Gjakova.

Likewise, the KPK, after approving two reports of the Commission for the Transfer and Advancement of Prosecutors, transferred seven (7) prosecutors to the General Department in the Basic Prosecution of Pristina and one (1) prosecutor to the General Department in the Basic Prosecution of Ferizaj, as well approved the Report on the evaluation of the performance of nine prosecutors with a permanent mandate.

Consequently, in today's meeting, the KPK also approved the advancement of a prosecutor from the General Department to the Department for Serious Crimes in the Basic Prosecution of Peja and repealed two decisions - the decision to establish the Commission for the Recruitment of 22 new prosecutors and the decision to establish of the Review Committee, as well as decided on the establishment of two new commissions for the same recruitment process, as well as appointed the support staff from the ranks of the administration, who will provide assistance to the members of the Recruitment Commission and the Review Commission in the recruitment process of 22 new State prosecutors.

At the end of this meeting, Chairman Maloku informed the members of the KPC about the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the Academy of Justice in the field of professional training.
