Two new cases codenamed "Jimi" and "Camera" have been targeted by the Special Prosecution
Prishtina, 10 June 2022 - The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK), Blerim Isufaj, held the next meeting with the joint team for the selection and targeting of serious crimes, where two (2) new cases have been targeted with a large number of persons for various criminal offenses.
The first case targeted by the Special Prosecution, codenamed "JIMI", involved several persons for the criminal offenses "Money laundering", from article 302 in connection to article 31 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK) no. 06 / L-074 and regarding article 56 par. 1 of Law no. 05 / L-096 on Preventing Money Laundering and Combating Terrorist Financing. The Special Prosecution has proposed for permanent confiscation of two (2) vehicles of the defendants, seized at the scene, of banknotes in the amount of one hundred and twenty five thousand two hundred and forty (125,240.00) euros, seized, as well as seized mobile phones.
Meanwhile, in the second case targeted by the Special Prosecution, which is codenamed "CAMERA", several persons are involved, for the basic criminal offenses "Organized crime" article 277, as well as "Purchase, possession, distribution and unauthorized sale of narcotic substances '' article 267. In this case were seized 143,395 kg of narcotics, nine (9) cars, 13.000.00 euros and fifteen (15) mobile phones.
