A joint meeting of the KJC and the KPC is held
Prishtinë, 25 February 2022 – Kosovo Judicial Council and Kosovo Prosecutorial Council held a joint meeting in order to strengthen communication and coordination of activities of common interest.
At the beginning of this meeting, the Chairman of the Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj and that of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, expressed the need and willingness to advance cooperation between the two Councils, in order, as the two chairmen said, to coordinate joint activities and strengthening both judicial and prosecutorial systems. The President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Enver Peci, also spoke about the strengthening and importance of cooperation.
The discussion in this meeting started with the evaluation of the two Councils for better coordination of courts and prosecutions to increase the efficiency in holding court hearings and their non-failure.
During this meeting were discussed other topics, such as: review of the Law on Disciplinary Responsibilities of Judges and Prosecutors, the conclusion of a memorandum between the two councils for joint activities, related to the Strategy for Functional Review.
Also, in this joint meeting was presented the Evaluation Report from the EUKOJUST project for information technology in the prosecutorial and judicial system.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the two Councils agreed on the signing of the Memorandum for the fourth phase of the ICT-CMIS Project and agreed on the joint letter to be sent to the EUKOJUST Project on the location of the Information Technology Recovery Center.
