A roundtable is held to assess the infrastructure of archives and information technology in the justice system

Prishtina, 20 January 2022 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Jetish Maloku, participated in the roundtable on the presentation of evaluation reports on judicial infrastructure, archives and ICT, organized by the EU Sector Program of Justice in Kosovo (EUKOJUST).

In addition to Chairman Maloku, the roundtable was also attended by the Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), Albert Zogaj, the project leader, Volkmar Theobald, representatives from the European Union Office and other KPC and KJC officials.

In his speech before the audience, Chairman Maloku said that they are committed to further improve the infrastructure in the prosecution to create a more appropriate working environment for prosecution staff, where the IT component plays a key role in achieving this purpose. 

"We have entered intensively in the phase of transition from manual to digital work, and we have reflected this as a strategic objective in the Strategic Plan of the Kosovo prosecutorial system," said Chairman Maloku.

Further, the Chairman of the KPC said that so far, in the framework of digitalization of work in the prosecution, they have implemented several electronic systems, of which he has distinguished: the system for online application for the position of prosecutor, as well as of personal file management of prosecutors that includes the process of performance appraisal and discipline, as well as one of the most important and complex systems of case management in the prosecution - CMIS.

Finally, Chairman Maloku said that he hopes to support this project in advancing information technology and digitizing the collected archival documentation in the Kosovo prosecutorial system.
