The 207th meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council is held

Prishtinë, 28 December 2021 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), chaired by Chairman Jetish Maloku, has held its 207th meeting in a row, in accordance with all safeguards against the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the beginning of this meeting, the Regulation on the management of cases through the electronic system (CMIS) in the prosecutorial system and the Basic Referral Guide for investigative and disciplinary bodies for prosecutors were approved.

Further, after the completion of the procedures, the KPC has promoted the prosecutor Enis Gashi from the General Department to the Juvenile Department of the Basic Prosecution of Gjakova.

In this meeting was approved the Work Plan of the Commission for the Evaluation of the Performance of Prosecutors for 2022 and the Report for the annual evaluation of the superiors for 2020, together with the recommendations of the members of the KPC.

During this meeting, the KPC approved four reports on the evaluation and re-evaluation of 25 prosecutors, also approving the Objection submitted by a prosecutor regarding the evaluation and obliged the Commission to re-evaluate it. With the approval of these reports, KPC has fully implemented the Work Plan for evaluating the performance of prosecutors for 2021. 

In this meeting, the Council has established two investigative panels for handling disciplinary cases against a prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Prizren and a prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina.

At the end of the meeting, a disciplinary hearing was held regarding the case of a prosecutor in the Basic Prosecution of Peja, and the relevant decision will be made public as provided by law.
