The Chairman of the KPC, Jetish Maloku, receives the Ambassador of Norway, Jens Erik Grøndahl

Prishtinë, 26 November 2021 – The Chairman of the KPC, Jetish Maloku, received in a meeting the Ambassador of Norway in Kosovo, Jens Erik Grøndahl.  

Initially, Chairman Maloku informed Ambassador Grøndahl about the achievements of the Kosovo prosecutorial system in the field of implementation of the system for information management of cases, preparation of bylaws, the process of evaluation of prosecutors, the process of recruitment of prosecutors, but also the challenges which we are facing including legal ones.

In the meeting, Chairman Maloku, stressed that we have successfully implemented the Case Management Information System (CMIS) in all basic prosecutions, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo and the Appellate Prosecution. “This has resulted in the transformation of manual work into digital, respectively in the overall management of the work of the prosecution through this system.”All cases received by the prosecution are registered in the system and then automatically distributed by CMIS to prosecutors, to continue recording all actions of the prosecutor until the archiving phase," said the Chairman on this occasion.

In this context, it was said that electronic exchanges have taken place between the State Prosecutor and the Civil Registry Agency, the Business Registry Agency, the Kosovo Police and the courts.

On the other hand, Ambassador Grøndahl, expressed his and his country's support to assist the institution of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council in the complete digitalization of the work process.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the KPC thanked the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway for the visit and the interest shown in the prosecutorial system, highly appreciating the continuous support and assistance of this state, with special emphasis on the digitalization of the administration of prosecutions.
