The intensification of KPC cooperation with the Information and Privacy Agency is discussed
Prishtinë, 22 November 2021 - The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, received in a meeting the Commissioner of the Agency for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva-Dermaku, a meeting that took place in the framework of informative meetings between decision makers of public institutions.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the strengthening of the spirit of cooperation and obtaining opinions and advice on advancing the procedure for access to public documents and protection of privacy, respectively the implementation of the Law on Access to Public Documents and the Law on Personal Data Protection.
It was also discussed that the Agency for Information and Privacy (AIP) through professional opinions to support the KPC in amending the current bylaws and drafting a new act in order to better implement the Law on Access to Public Documents and the Law on Personal Data Protection.
On this occasion, Chairman Maloku, expressed his readiness to intensify cooperation, in order to overcome the challenges and difficulties in reviewing requests for access to public documents in accordance with the two basic laws of AIP.
