STATEMENT OF THE KOSOVO PROSECUTORIAL COUNCIL

Prishtinë, 17 June 2021 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) through this statement assures the public opinion that the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, has the full support of all members of the Council in exercising his Constitutional and legal mandate.

The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, has been continuously evaluated maximally for his work according to the highest standards by the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council. 

Therefore, any tendency for possible stagings aimed at institutional destabilization, violation of the integrity, mandate and prestige of the Chief State Prosecutor, will fail.

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, as an independent and impartial Constitutional body, will not allow any interference or any external interest, including the wishes of political parties, certain individuals and interest groups to influence the work and mandate of the holders of the prosecutorial system. , respectively of the Chief State Prosecutor.
