Chairman Maloku and Ambassador Davenport meet to discuss further co-operation

Pristina, 26 May 2021 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, received in a meeting the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Ambassador Michael Davenport.

Chairman Maloku briefed Ambassador Davenport on the achievements and advancement of the professional and administrative capacity of the prosecutorial system, saying that the OSCE in Kosovo has made an important contribution by holding specific trainings and supporting the Prosecutorial Council and the State Prosecutor in drafting strategic plans, objectives, acts and practical work guides.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the KPC, Jetish Maloku, expressed his gratitude for the support of the OSCE in investigating and monitoring cases of domestic violence, drafting monitoring reports and drafting the Strategy against Trafficking in Human Beings, where part of this authority is the Office for Protection and Assistance to Victims and the State Prosecutor, as well as the drafting of standard operating procedures for victims of trafficking.

Ambassador Davenport also stressed the will of him and the organization he leads to support the joint processes, in order to achieve the goals and achieve the necessary progress for the development of the prosecutorial system, in which case all citizens of Kosovo will benefit, without distinction.

Both interlocutors agreed to continue cooperation through various projects, in order to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of the prosecutorial system.
