The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, met with the Chairman of the High Prosecution Council of Albania, Gent Ibrahimi

Prishtinë, 12 May 2021 The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, received today in a meeting, the Chairman of the High Prosecution Council of the Republic of Albania, Gent Ibrahimi.

Chairman Maloku initially informed President Ibrahimi about the work and activities that are being carried out in the prosecutorial system, in order to strengthen the rule of law in Kosovo, emphasizing that he is committed to implementing the mission of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.

The two interlocutors also discussed issues of common interest and the exchange of experiences on justice system reforms.

President Ibrahimi, stressed that justice reform in Albania initially had some obstacles, which have been overcome and now this process is going in the right direction, emphasizing that he is ready to offer his professional and institutional support for the planned reforms in the justice system in the Republic of Kosovo.

The two interlocutors assessed that the consolidation of the institutions of the justice system, including an efficient service of the prosecutorial system, are the basis for a strong rule of law by giving citizens confidence in the institutions of justice.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman Maloku and Chairman Ibrahimi, said that they will intensify the meetings based on the development of work dynamics, in order to exchange experiences in justice reforms.
