The 198th meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council is held
Pristina, 27 April 2020 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, chaired by Jetish Maloku, held its 198th meeting in a row, which was held online and in accordance with all protection measures against the Covid-19 pandemic, in which case a number of acts and procedural issues have been adopted.
Initially, the Inter-Institutional Tracking Mechanism Report was approved for the nine characteristic criminal offenses, which presents a harmonized set of annual data on prosecutorial actions during 2020.
The members of the Prosecutorial Council approved another important annual report on the developments of the prosecutorial system - that of the Supervisory Committee for the implementation of the Strategic Plan and Action Plan for the fight against corruption and economic crimes, who noted that it marks significant progress compared with 2019 despite the situation created during a pandemic year, and this commission was supplemented by the appointment of its chairman, Veton Shabani, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the KPC.
KPC took a decision to re-announce the public competition for the recruitment of 16 prosecutors in six basic prosecutors of the country and in order to complete the procedures, the Recruitment Commission and the Review Commission were established, and the exam administrator was appointed.
Also, two evaluation panels have been established for disciplinary cases against one prosecutor in the Basic Prosecution of Gjakova and one in that of Prizren.
During this meeting, the members of the KPC, after the request and proposal of the Acting Director of the Secretariat of the KPC, decided to approve two requests related to activities for the implementation of the Personnel Plan for 2021.
At the end of today's meeting, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council decided to propose to the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo for the dismissal of two prosecutors on the occasion of their retirement.
