The Annual Report (2020) and Work Plan (2021) of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council were approved

Prishtina, March 26, 2021 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, under the chairmanship of Jetish Maloku, has held the 197th meeting, which was realized through distance communication.

The Annual Report (2020) and the Work Plan (2021) of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council were the first acts that were approved at today's meeting, in which case the latter was approved with some recommendations of KPC members. Consequently, it was said that these acts reflect specific aspects of the Council’s one-year work and its achievements, as well as the following goals and plans for this year, which are in line with the strategic acts of the prosecutorial system.

At the same meeting, the Council took decisions to open vacancies for the promotion of prosecutors in the prosecution, as follows: four prosecutors in the Appellate Prosecution, two prosecutors in the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo and one in the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina.

Also, after the expiration of the mandate of the previous members of the Steering Council of the Academy of Justice, at the request of the latter, the Prosecutorial Council has appointed new members of the prosecutorial system with a four-year mandate in this composition: Xhevdet Bislimi, Chief Prosecutor of the Appeallate Prosecution, Dulina Hamiti from the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina and Valdrin Krasniqi from the Secretariat of the KPC.

During this meeting, the list of candidates for Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakova was confirmed, composed of: Dëshirë Jusaj and Ramiz Buzhala, and the investigative panel was established for the case of a prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Gjilan.

The Council also approved the Administrative Personnel Plan for 2021 of the prosecutorial system, and at the end of the meeting held a hearing on the disciplinary case of a prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina, whose decision will be made public as defined by law.
