Suspended from the position of General Director of the Secretariat of the KPC, Lavdim Krasniqi

Prishtinë, 2 March 2021 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), after the initiation of criminal proceedings against the General Director of the Secretariat (KPCS), Lavdim Krasniqi, on suspicion of criminal offenses "Abuse of official position or authority", "Exercising influence", and "Assistance to the perpetrators after committing criminal offenses”, has decided to suspend the same with a payment of 50 percent of salary until the final decision is taken by the competent court.

Also, today the Secretariat of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has taken a decision to suspend an official of the Secretariat, as a suspect for the criminal offense "Failure to notify the preparation of criminal offenses”.

In order to continue the functioning of the administration of the prosecutorial system in general, the KPC today appointed Acting Director General of the KPCS, Valdrin Krasniqi - Head of the Legal Office.
