Chairman Maloku received in a meeting the Head of the EULEX Wigemark

Prishtinë, 1 March 2021 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Jetish Maloku, received in a meeting the Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, EULEX, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, with whom he discussed topics of common interest, related to with the mandate of two institutions.

The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, Maloku, has informed the Head of EULEX, Wigemark, about the works and activities that are being carried out in the prosecutorial system, in order to strengthen the rule of law in Kosovo.

EULEX Chief Wigemark, congratulating Chairman Maloku on his new post, said that the institution he leads within its mandate will continue to support the prosecutorial system in promoting and strengthening the rule of law.

Both interlocutors express their readiness to continue and deepen the cooperation between the two institutions they lead.

At the end of this meeting, it was said that the prosecutorial system is working on realizing its priorities to increase efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and accountability in this system, while EULEX through monitoring, advising and addressing the challenges will support the prosecutorial system in realizing its priorities.
