Chairman Maloku received the Ombudsman in a meeting

Prishtina, 24 February 2021 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the KPC, Veton Shabani, received in a meeting the Ombudsman, Naim Qelaj and his associates.

Among other things, a number of issues related to the mutual cooperation of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council with the Ombudsman Institution were discussed at the meeting, in which case Chairman Maloku said that the realization of bilateral missions will be achieved through coordination which will be in the function of protecting human rights and freedoms, enforcing the rule of law and strengthening the rule of law in our country.

The interlocutors also discussed the creation of greater spaces for inter-institutional communication regarding the activity of joint protection of citizens' rights, which in itself is an advancement of justice standards in Kosovo.

On the other hand, the People's Advocate, Naim Qelaj, praised the cooperation so far, emphasizing the need for further cooperation with the prosecutorial system, in order to eliminate challenges and overcome possible difficulties.

Chairman Maloku and the People's Advocate, Qelaj, unanimously confirmed the continuation of regular inter-institutional communication to identify issues of common interest, in order to jointly implement and advance the processes of legal and constitutional rights of the citizens of Kosovo, in accordance with the applicable legislation and international human rights standards.
