The Chief Prosecutor Lumezi and Director Mehmeti discuss advancing inter-institutional cooperation
Prishtina, February 1, 2021 - The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, received in a working meeting the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Samedin Mehmeti, where they discussed topics of common institutional interest.
The Chief State Prosecutor Lumezi and Director Mehmeti have expressed mutual readiness to advance the cooperation between the State Prosecutor and the Police, in order to strengthen the fight against crime.
Also, part of the discussions in this meeting was the coordination for the conduct of the process of early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kosovo, in order to ensure an inviolable, democratic and integrity process.
On this occasion, the Chief State Prosecutor and the Director of Police, have signed a memorandum of cooperation regarding the "Standard Operation Procedure", the purpose of which is to specify joint standard actions between the State Prosecutor and the Kosovo Police, which provides taking concrete actions in all cases that occur during the early election process.
