Chairman Hyseni hosted in the meeting Minister of Justice, Selimi
Prishtina, June 10, 2020 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Bahri Hyseni, hosted in the meeting the Minister of Justice, Selim Selimi, on the occasion of which he congratulated him on his new position and informed him about the work so far, priorities and challenges of the Kosovo prosecutorial system.
Chairman Hyseni said that the KPC is working continuously to create better policies and conditions for an efficient prosecutorial system in investigating and prosecuting perpetrators of criminal offenses, while with special emphasis he spoke about the priorities of the Kosovo prosecutorial system, such as the fight against organized crime and corruption.
On the other hand, Minister Selimi said that he will support all the processes of the prosecutorial system, so that together they can advance the rule of law in Kosovo.
Chairman Hyseni asked Minister Selimi to support the completion of the legal basis of the prosecutorial system in the field of expertise, the status of prosecutors after retirement and the status of civil servants of this system.
During this meeting, they also discussed the budget of the Kosovo prosecutorial system, in which case Minister Selimi expressed his readiness to provide assistance to the budgetary requirements of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.
