Detention on remand of the suspect for harassment is required
Gjilan, June 05, 2020 - The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, General Department, has requested from the competent court in Gjilan, to impose the measure of detention for 30 days, against the suspect D.P., due to suspicion that he has committed the criminal offense “Harassment”, under Article 182 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the request, there is a reasonable suspicion that on May 04, 2020, the suspect D.P. (of Serbian nationality), intentionally and with the intention of intimidating, disturbed the injured party Z.S. (of Serbian nationality) - lieutenant of the Kosovo Security Force, so that through the social network "Facebook", has published photos of former KLA Commander Ramush Haradinaj in military uniform and the injured party wearing military uniform with KSF flags on it, on this occasion, after this publication, the injured party received threatening, insulting and degrading text messages about his and his family's integrity.
The suspect had removed this post from the social network after an hour, but the injured party still continued to receive threatening messages, where with these actions he incited hatred, causing fear and great concern to his and family’s life.
The suspect D.P., with the Ruling issued by Prosecutor, is in detention for 48 hours.
