GERMAN IRZ READY TO SUPPORT KPC
Prishtina, 11th of May 2016 – Today, Chairman of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Blerim Isufaj, has hosted in a meeting the Expert of German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), Donat Ebert, with whom he has spoken about the cooperation possibilities for the purposes of professional capacities building of KPC.
Following the briefing provided for the Expert Ebert on changes of prosecutorial system of Kosova due to the needs emerged upon the amending and supplementing the Law on KPC and Law on State Prosecutor by the Chairman Isufaj, the latter said that he is opened for the concrete cooperation with IRZ.
He said that the legal amendments have brought new needs for strengthening and increasing KPC effectiveness, therefore he has expressed his readiness on cooperation for the purposes of increasing the effectiveness through trainings for administrative staff.
Chairman Isufaj has also said that the opportunity for cooperation through gaining new experiences from Prosecutorial Councils of other countries, experiences on standardization of Action Plans normative acts, as well as experiences on Prosecutors` Performance Evaluation would be useful for KPC.
IRZ Expert said that the presented ideas from Chairman Isufaj regarding cooperation are also within the IRZ scope; therefore he has expressed readiness to support KPC capacities` building.
Both interlocutors have agreed that in a close future the cooperation areas shall be concretized for the purposes of increasing the KPC effectiveness.
