KPC IS COMMITTED TO INCREASING THE PERFORMANCE EFFECTIVENESS IN ALL PROSECUTIONS

Mitrovica-Prishtina, 9th of June 2016 -  In the series of meetings being conducted throughout Kosova Prosecutions, Chairman of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Blerim Isufaj, accompanied by the Director of the Secretariat, Lavdim Krasniqi, have visited Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica and the one in Prishtina, in which occasion they have met with respective Chief Prosecutors, Prosecutors and administrative staff of both Prosecutions.

During the visits in those two Prosecutions, Chairman Isufaj was introduced regarding the work that is being done, challenges they face and general working conditions of both Prosecutions.

Chairman Isufaj said that Prosecutorial Council and State Prosecutor are being engaged to provide as better working conditions for the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica, in order to enable them to have higher performance effectiveness. There was said that in this regard soon there will be found a solution for the premises of this Prosecution as well.

In the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, Chairman Isufaj said that being familiar with the high number of cases this Prosecution has, his engagement to provide conditions, in particular professional ones, for the purposes of increasing performance effectiveness will carry on to be in place.

KPC Chairman said that he wants to be closely introduced regarding the needs Basic Prosecution of Mitrovica and Prishtina have regarding the increase or change of the number of Prosecutors throughout Departments, and promotion of Prosecutors as well, and also increase of the number of administrative staff and infrastructural upgrading, too.

As far as internal vacancy for Prosecutors` promotion and transfer is concerned, Chairman Isufaj said that the announcement of this vacancy from KPC has for purpose to increase the Prosecutions` performance effectiveness through the transfer and promotion of Prosecutors in those Prosecutions where the needs are obvious.
