The work plans and strategic documents of the KPC are evaluated
Pristina, 26 April 2019 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Bahri Hyseni, together with the Chairperson of the KPC Normative Issues Committee, Zejnullah Gashi, participated in the Workshop on Functional Review of the Rule of Law Sector that was organized by the Ministry of Justice.
The purpose of this workshop was to present and discuss the policy document titled "Raising the efficiency of the judicial and prosecutorial system", a document that deals with improving data collection and analysis, internal work procedures, reporting, improving the skills and challenging issues faced by the justice system in Kosovo.
KPC Chair, Bahri Hyseni, said that the Prosecutorial Council has prepared good work plans and strategic documents that are accessible and in function of achieving the objectives of the prosecutorial system, within which they are expected to provide trainings and other specialized professional assistance to ensure the transfer of the necessary knowledge and managerial skills, which will be made possible in coordination with international donors and partners. "I am glad that the workshops and the strategic plans of the prosecutorial system will be evaluated in this workshop, which we will implement on the road ahead", said chairman Hyseni.
Various recommendations have emerged from this workshop, for which general participants agreed, in particular to take measures to increase staffing capacity in terms of drafting, analysis of reports and statistical data, as well as planning based on analysis of their data and indicators in order to have a genuine advancement of the justice sector in Kosovo.
Among other things, the chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, Bahri Hyseni, stressed at the conclusion of the meeting that the recommendations from the policy document for enhancing the efficiency of the judicial and prosecutorial system will be taken into account for their proper implementation because they reinforce and advance accountability, transparency and professionalism of the justice system in Kosovo.
