The Juvenile Interviewing room is inaugurated at Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina

Pristina, June 5 2019 – The chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Bahri Hyseni, Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, Mr. Imer Beka and representatives of the US embassy in Kosovo, headed by Tracy Whittington, Director of the International Office for Narcotics and Law Enforcement Issues, inaugurated the Project of the “ Juvenile Interviewing Room” in the Basic Prosecution office in Pristina, this Project was funded by the Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo.

Chairman Hyseni has expressed deep gratitude to the US Embassy in Kosovo, which has supported the realization of this project, but has also provided sustained support, emphasizing that the United State of America continued support has created a has created a better image for Kosovo prosecutorial system.

On the importance of the “Juvenile Interviewing room " project to increase the efficiency of the work at the Department of Juveniles in the Basic Prosecution of Pristina, the head of this prosecution, Imer Beka, saying that creating better conditions for juvenile interviews will impact on greater efficiency in the work of this department.

Meanwhile, Director Wittington expressed her happiness in finalizing this project, expressing the readiness of the US Embassy to provide further support to the prosecutorial system in Kosovo.

Such donations to the US Embassy in Kosovo were also granted to four other basic prosecution offices in Kosovo.
