The next meeting of the Joint Board "Justice 2020" is held
Pristina, June 21, 2019 - The Joint Agenda "Justice 2020" held its next meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Arben Ismajli, Minister of Justice, Abelard Tahiri, Chairman of the Judicial Council of Kosovo, Skender Çoçaj, Director of Anti-Corruption Agency, Shaip Havolli and representatives of the US Embassy, EULEX and the European Union Office.
The topic of this meeting was the implementation of the measures set out in the Justice 2020 agenda, which are related to the findings of the European Commission Report for 2019 and those related to the implementation of the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest and Defense of the signalers.
Deputy Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Arben Ismajli, during this meeting, said that KPC welcomes the conclusion that progress is being made in the fight against high profile corruption, adding that in addition to the focus of the prosecutorial system for combating corruption high level; there has also been devotion to fighting corruption in general.
In the meeting were also discussed the need for a clearer coordination between the hierarchy of institutions dealing with investigating and combating corruption and organized crime, so that each institution exercises its full powers.
