The drafting process of the Draft Regulation on the appointment of the Chief State Prosecutor and the Chief Prosecutors of the Prosecution offices is discussed
Pristina, June 26, 2019 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) chairman, Bahri Hyseni, hosted in the meeting the experts of the British project "Strengthening Judicial and Prosecutorial System of Kosovo", headed by manager Mark Dickson.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the comments proposed by British experts, which were offered for their integration in the general text of the Draft Regulation on the appointment of the Chief State Prosecutor and Chief Prosecutors of Prosecutions Office, which is of particular importance for the functioning and management of the State Prosecutor's operating system.
Head of the Council, Bahri Hyseni, thanked the representatives of the British project for providing capacity building support to the prosecutorial system, especially in terms of drafting sub-legal acts and implementing high standards and standards in drafting, especially in the Draft Regulation on the appointment of the Chief State Prosecutor and the Chief Prosecutors of the country's prosecution offices.
Consequently, Chairman Hyseni informed British experts that in the course of the engagements for drafting this regulation, it was discussed about the drafting of the vacancy announcement procedures for Chief State Prosecutor and chief prosecutors of the prosecution offices, as well as for the candidates' complaints procedures in the future.
Both sides have estimated that the cooperation of the Prosecutorial Council with international partners, such as British experts, directly affects the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of Kosovo's prosecutorial system.
