Memorandum of Understanding is signed between the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the Center for International Legal Cooperation
Pristina, 27 June 2019 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Bahri Hyseni, hosted in a meeting the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo, Gerrie Willems, and the Director of the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC), Willem van Nieuwkerk .
During this meeting, KPC Chairman and CILC Director signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting an independent and impartial criminal prosecution system through advancing media cooperation and increasing administrative capacity and efficiency of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.
KPC Chairman Bahri Hyseni thanked the Netherlands Ambassador and the Director of the Center for International Legal Cooperation for the continued engagement and assistance given to the Prosecutorial Council in strengthening the mechanisms that contribute to the advancement of integrity, professionalism, transparency and independence of the prosecutorial system.
A Memorandum of Understanding signed between KPC and CILC will start implementing from 1 September 2019 and will last for a period of twenty months within the framework of the project "Support to an Independent, Professional and Impartial Prosecutorial System" of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
