The chairman of the KPC hosted the head of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina in an informative meeting

The head of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Ardian Hajdaraj, hosted the head of the Office of the Council of Europe in Pristina, Mary Ann Hennessey, and Deputy Head Tankut Soykan in an informative meeting.
Initially, Chairman Ardian Hajdaraj congratulated Mrs. Mary Ann Hennessey on her new position, expressing his gratitude for the support provided by the Office of the Council of Europe in Pristina, as well as informing her about the activities, priorities and challenges of the Prosecutorial Council during of the year 2024.
Mr. Hajdaraj and Mrs. Ann Hennessey, in today's meeting, among other things, discussed the functionality of the Case Management Information System (CMIS) and domestic violence, especially violence against women and concrete commitment to its prevention, strongly condemning the murders of women that have happened recently in our country.
Also, the head of the EC Office thanked the head of the KPC for the reception, informing him of the launch of a special program for the treatment of the perpetrators who have committed violence against women and to prevent their recidivism, increasing the efficiency of the fight of cases of violence against women in Kosovo.
The interlocutors expressed their readiness to continue further cooperation between the Prosecutorial Council and the Office of the European Council in Pristina, with the aim of increasing the efficiency, accountability and public transparency of the prosecutorial system of the Republic of Kosovo.
