The chairman of the Prosecution Council, Ardian Hajdaraj, hosted the head of EULEX, Giovanni Barbano and deputy head Emily Rakhorst in a meeting

Expression of high readiness for cooperation in joint processes between the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) and the EU Mission for the Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) for issues related to the importance of monitoring, counseling and the way of treatment of the challenges and strengthening of the prosecutorial system, were the focus of the discussions in the first meeting of the chairman of the KPC, Ardian Hajdaraj, with the head of EULEX, Giovanni Pietro Barbano and the deputy head of this mission, Emily Rakhorst.
On this occasion, Chairman Hajdaraj thanked the head of EULEX, Barbano and deputy head Rakhorst, for the visit to the Prosecutorial Council and congratulated them for their mandate at the head of this important European mission in Kosovo, as well as informed him about the latest developments regarding with the implementation of strategic priorities, increasing effectiveness, transparency, accountability and increasing citizens' trust in the prosecutorial system.
On the other hand, the head of EULEX, Giovanni Barbano, also congratulated the head of the KPC on the new task, expressing his readiness and that of the staff he directs to provide further support to the KPC and the institution of the State Prosecutor through the monitoring and advisory role in the joint journey towards strengthening the rule of law in Kosovo in full compliance with EU standards and best practices.
Among other things, it was announced that, in the context of the meeting between Mr. Hajdaraj and Mr. Barbano, due to the great importance of cooperation in the field of the rule of law and the fight against organized crime, the two sides appreciated that there is a mutual will to continue and coordinate joint activities, in order to achieve objectives that affect the strengthening of the rule of law and order in Kosovo.
