Chairman Maloku hosted the Auditor General, Vlora Spanca
Prishtinë, 17 January 2024 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Jetish Maloku, accompanied by the Internal Auditor at the KPC Secretariat, Mr. Beqir Dauti, received the Auditor General of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Vlora Spanca and the Deputy Auditor General, Mr. Bezad Halilaj.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the advancement of the cooperation of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council with the National Audit Office of the Republic of Kosovo regarding the audit reports for the effective, efficient and economical use of public funds, as well as the discussion on the implementation of the best international standards and practices during the processes of transparent management of public finances.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the KPC, Mr. Maloku, informed the Auditor General, Mrs. Spanca, about the efforts and commitment of the prosecutorial system in the continuous improvement of the management of public funds, relying on the recommendations of the auditor of the ZKA- and the recommendations of the Internal Audit Unit of the KPC.
The Auditor General, Ms. Spanca, and the Chairman of the KPC, Mr. Maloku, agreed on the need to organize joint trainings with prosecutors, in order to discuss and address the audit recommendations, emphasizing the joint commitment to work always in the interest of increasing public responsibility in the field of law enforcement.
Mr. Maloku and Mrs. Spanca pledged to have more such meetings in the future to identify challenges and address topics of common interest in the function of public finance management.
