The chairman of KPC, Jetish Maloku, hosted GIZ's legal experts at the meeting 

Prishtinë, 10 January 2024 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Jetish Maloku, has received in a meeting the legal experts of the GIZ project for support for the reform processes of Kosovo's integration into the EU.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the drafting of two specialized manuals that will serve as detailed and accessible guides for professionals in the field of judiciary and prosecution.

On this occasion, Chairman Maloku said that he welcomes the drafting of these manuals that provide scenarios for various legal issues and are suitable to help deal with issues related to the protection of personal data.

On the other hand, the legal expert of the GIZ Project emphasized that the manuals provide a strong reference base for judges and prosecutors to help in responsible decision-making and to guarantee that the processing of personal data in judicial and prosecutorial processes is in full compliance with current laws and the highest ethical and professional standards.

The interlocutors agreed to identify and analyze the challenges faced by the prosecutorial system in the management of personal data and the use of technology, and for the drafting of these two important manuals, working groups will be formed for the relevant institutions.
