The KPC elected the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution and the chief prosecutors of the basic prosecutions in Pristina and Gjakova

Pristina, December 11, 2023 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), led by Chairman Jetish Maloku, held its 238th meeting in a row and, according to the agenda, with only three items on the agenda.

During this meeting, the chief prosecutors of three important prosecutions of the country were elected, in which case the members of the KPC first voted with a majority of votes and elected Mr. Blerim Isufaj for another term at the head of the Special Prosecution Office, starting from January 1, 2024.

Also, at the same meeting, the KPC also voted for the election of the only candidate for Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Pristina, Mr. Zejnulla Gashi, prosecutor of this prosecution, who was elected for a four-year term, starting from January 1 2024.

Also, under point three of this meeting, the Council also voted for the election of the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakova, Mr. Enis Gashi, prosecutor of this prosecution, who will lead this prosecution during the next four years, starting from 1 January 2024.

The election of the chief prosecutors was preceded by the handling of the Review Commission's Report and the handling of the two reports of the evaluation panels.
