The meeting of the Committee for Review of the objections of the candidates for Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo is held

Prishtinë, 6 December 2023 - Commission for Review of the objections of the candidates for Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK), chaired by the member of the Prosecutorial Council, Mrs. Jehona Grantolli, whose composition includes two other members of the KPC, Mrs. Arjana Shajkovci and Mr. Armend Zenelaj, has held a meeting to address the objections of the candidates for Chief Prosecutor of the PSRK.

Representatives of the American Embassy, EULEX, EUKOJUST and the EU Office in Pristina participated as monitors in this meeting of the Review Committee.

The Review Commission, after today's treatment of the objections of the candidates for the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, will prepare a report for the KPC, which will be dealt with at the next meeting of the KPC. 

On November 17, the KPC approved the list of four candidates for the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, as follows: Blerim Isufaj, Valdet Gashi, Atdhe Dema and Naim Abazi.

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council will announce in time about the other procedures of the process of electing the Chief Prosecutor of the SPRK.
