CHAIRMAN MALOKU PARTICIPATES IN THE ACTIVITY OF THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK FOR THE RIGHTS OF CRIME VICTIMS
Prishtinë, 23 October 2023 - The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo, Mr. Jetish Maloku, participated in the activity marking the beginning
of the Week for the Rights of Crime Victims in Kosovo, organized by the American Embassy in Kosovo, this week, which takes place under the supervision of the Office of the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, in which case a discussion table was held entitled: "Inter-institutional coordination in the fight against human trafficking”.
In this official opening of the Week for the Rights of Crime Victims, the Ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Mr. Jeffrey Hovenier, the President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Fejzullah Rexhepi, the Minister of Justice Mrs. Albulena Haxhiu, Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Mr. Albert Zogaj, representatives of the Kosovo Police and the Office for the Protection of Victims have participated.
Chairman Maloku, in his speech of the occasion, expressed his gratitude for the great support of the US Embassy in Kosovo, not only for today's event marking the rights of crime victims in the Republic of Kosovo, but also in all other aspects and developments related to coordination and cooperation towards the strengthening and advancement of the prosecutorial system based on the best international practices and standards.
The marking of this week aims to raise public awareness of the rights of crime victims and will be accompanied by numerous activities in the prosecutor's offices of the country, where it is planned to hold roundtable discussions with the participation of representatives of local and international institutions.
