KPC ANNOUNCES COMPETITIONS FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE SPECIAL PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE AND THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE BASIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE IN PRISTINA
Prishtinë, 13 October 2023 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), led by the chairman Jetish Maloku, held its 235th meeting in a row.
Initially, the KPC made a decision based on the Regulation on the Appointment of the Chief State Prosecutor and the Chief Prosecutors of the Prosecution Offices of the Republic of Kosovo, for the announcement of competitions for the appointment of the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) and the appointment of the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, from October 16 to November 3, 2023, as well as established the evaluation panels and relevant commissions for reconsideration for these two competitions.
KPC members decided on the internal announcement for the promotion of two prosecutors in the Department of Serious Crimes and two other prosecutors in the Department for Juveniles in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina and approved the Report for evaluating the performance of nine (9) prosecutors with the permanent mandate, in which case it also dealt with the objections presented to this report, according to the laws and regulations in force.
KPC approved the request for the classification of jobs and the amendment-completion of the Administrative Personnel Plan of the prosecutorial system for the year 2023 and the proposal for sending an urgent letter to the President of the country for the decree of the Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Blerim Isufaj, after the publication of the decision of the Constitutional Court.
KPC also approved sending the proposal also to the President of the country for the release from duty of a prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Peja and a prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Pristina on the occasion of their retirement during the month of November 2023.
